Summary:

This role requires a flexible schedule to accommodate client demands, with a standard 40-hour workweek supplemented by occasional overtime, including evenings and weekends.

As a vital member, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient functioning of our office.
Responsibilities include conducting thorough case research to support legal proceedings, as well as proficiently managing the collection and organization of documents and information across various cases within the firm.
Responsibilities:
Review and draft routine legal documents Create and maintain comprehensive case files Facilitate attorney deadlines by maintaining organized schedules and providing timely reminders Conduct thorough legal research to support ongoing proceedings Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents Schedule appointments and coordinate attorneys' calendars Attend court hearings and trials to provide litigation support
Qualifications:
A college degree with a passion for the legal field Previous experience as a legal secretary, assistant, or paralegal Proficiency in Odyssey and E-filing is useful, though not required Strong prioritization and multitasking abilities Deadline-driven and detail-oriented, with a focus on accuracy and quality Outstanding written and verbal communication skills Experience in family law is desirable but not mandatory Previous work with litigation matters preferred but not mandatory Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other Office applications required Strong typing skills essential Residence within 30 mile radius of the Brazoria County Courthouse preferred Prior attendance in Court Reporting program is desirable but not mandatory Schedule:
Typical workday spans 8 hours, but flexibility is essential to accommodate client needs, which may occasionally require evening, and weekend availability.

All positions at our company are paid positions, including internships.
